Rewrite Marketing Database
Problem:
Custom Access 2003 database linking to SQL Server built around in-house processes was proving unreliable/inneffective for managing data, overly complex to maintain and slow to use. Staff were avoiding its use leading to uncentralised processes.
Solution:
Move data processing to SQL Server, simplify data exchange with updateable views and optmise complex retrieval with stored procedures. Rewrite suite of reports using SQL Server Reporting Service.
Result:
Application is faster, reliable and a lot more useable thus gaining acceptance by key staff with centralised store of shared plans.
Barclaycard ePDQ MPI
Problem:
Client requires payment applications for their Contact Centre, a public accessible website and an automated telephone system.
Solution:
A common DLL to be used by three applications accepting common payment details and communicate with Barclaycard ePDQ payment system to create payments, return messages and log errors etc
Result:
2 web applications and 1 web service that use shared code for core payment processing making easy and efficient maintenance.
